CoGen Limited (CoGen) is the leading Advanced Gasification Waste to Energy Company within the UK and is very proud to announce its partnership with Devon’s top rugby club as part of an on-going sponsorship deal.
CoGen has just announced an on-going partnership with Exeter Chiefs RFC in the form of player sponsorship. During season 2015-16 CoGen will sponsor New Zealand born Thomas Waldrom and young up coming player Stuart Townsend. Thomas, nicknamed ‘Thomas the Tank’ who plays Back-Row for the Chiefs was the top try scorer in the Aviva Premiership last season. Stuart was a key member of the England Under 20’s last season and a bright young talent at the Chiefs.
The location of each Advanced Gasification plants are selected to minimise the transportation of waste within the UK and to ensure local benefit is gained from community waste. This sponsorship helps CoGen to strengthen their ambition to eliminate the difference between waste and energy whilst supplying tangible benefit to local communities. Waldrom will be supporting CoGen through media and event appearances, strengthening these key messages.
Devon based CoGen CEO, Ian Brooking commented; “It’s great to sponsor and support Devon’s top Rugby Club. Having grown up in Devon with a love for Rugby, these South West sporting teams are particularly close to my heart. To be able to contribute to the clubs success is a fantastic personal, as well as professional achievement.â€
With more than 10 Million UK viewers throughout the season and capacity for 11,000 spectators at the stadium, the club’s support shows no sign of letting up with its best finish to date in the Premiership during the 2014-15 season.
